As a practitioner with over 10 years of legal experience, Charles A. Lawson is well versed in Family Law and has a wealth of experience litigating complex Family Law matters. Mr. Lawson earned his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2007 and was admitted to practice law in New York State in 2008.

In 2008, Mr. Lawson was hired by the New York City Administration for Children's Services, where he prosecuted child abuse and neglect cases. During his time protecting New York city’s most vulnerable population, Mr. Lawson conducted over one hundred complex trials and hearings, gaining invaluable litigation experience.

In 2013, Mr. Lawson joined the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance as an Administrative Law Judge. As an Administrative Law Judge, he conducted hundreds of hearings and gained significant experience in administrative legal process.

In 2016, Mr. Lawson was certified by the Appellate Division Second Judicial Department to the Attorneys for the Children and Assigned Counsel Panel. In this capacity, Mr. Lawson zealously represents clients in all areas of Family Law, including child abuse and neglect, custody and visitation, child support, family offenses/orders of protection, paternity, guardianship, special immigration juvenile status, termination of parental rights and juvenile delinquency.
